CHILD RIGHTS PROTECTION CENTRE
 
Child Rights Protection Centre, the contact centre for Street Children and Stranded Children was initiated with the support of the Salem Corporation on 21st December 1998, with the vision to rehabilitating the Street Children. The centre functions round the clock for the rehabilitation of the Street Children with efficient Human resource. It is situated in the Central Bus Station where the run away children land up. 10 years of relentless and enthusiastic service of the centre, it has helped 5,166 children.
The centre conducts campaign against Child Trafficking, Child Exploitation and Child Labour. It organizes Child Rights Clubs, organizes evening classes, camps, exposures and moral education to children in Observation home. The Child Rights Protection Centre broadens its focus also to the families of the Street Children who will be rehabilitated through establishing CBOs in the areas from where a throng of Children runs away to cities.

SUPPORT GROUP
Support group consists of self-interested and socially motivated persons who come forward to extend their cooperation in the Child related activities. The support group in the Bus Station and Railway Station comprises of persons from the Transport Department, Police Department, Shop Keepers, PCO operators, and Hotel employees, Porters, Corporation Staff and Auto Rickshaw Drivers. The support group assists the Child Rights Protection Centre in spotting out the stranded children and also they help financially for home placement.
The support group in the villages and Slums comprises of members from the Local Body, Representatives from CBOs, Doctors, Lawyers, Teachers and Health Workers. They monitor the enrollment of child laborers and School dropouts. They assist the CBOs in the rescue and rehabilitation procedure of Child Laborers. They are rendering a voluntary service to the organization.
