LEPROSY COLONY – ATTUR

In 2002 Childline helped a child (Gowselya10) whose parents were infected by Leprosy. They were living in a place called Panathopu colony where only the leprosy people live. This place was given to them by the government. One of the Childline staff visited the place and came to know that people from this place need common toilet and houses. Hence we approached APIS for the purpose. They extended financial support to build a common toilet and house for each family.

We have provided the following support to them
  1. 35 houses for the colony people
  2. common toilet for the colonly.
  3. Summer camp for children
  4. Educational material for school going children.
  5. Shelter placement for the needy children
  6. Medical assistance
  7. Nutritional support for the children
  8. Basic amenities ( cloths & toilet articles )
