This is a replica of our Indian Parliament in its function. Various Ministers of this unit such as Prime Minister, Home Minister, Law Minister, Education Minister, Health Minister, Finance Minister, and Communication Minister are elected through democratic electoral procedure and they are endowed with meaningful responsibilities to carry out in their local communities. Each minister attempts to solve the problems related to his department. There are 21 Children Parliaments in and around Salem with 530 Children. The Children are trained to acquire leadership qualities, decision-making skills and group dynamism. It basically aimed at ensuring the “Participatory Right” of Children who are under privileged.
